Overview

Garage Floor Masters approached Omega looking for a brand identity that would stand apart from competitors in South Jersey. Based in Atco, NJ, the client wanted a family-oriented brand that felt timeless enough to eventually pass down to his son.

As lead designer, I developed a retro-inspired identity influenced by 1970s automotive color palettes, using bold reds, oranges, and yellows to create a warm, recognizable visual system.

Creative Direction

The goal was to avoid the typical industrial aesthetic commonly seen in the garage flooring industry and instead create something more memorable, approachable, and design-forward. Leaning into the client’s vision, I developed a design direction inspired by vintage automotive branding—particularly the warm, nostalgic tones seen in classic Toyota palettes from the 1970s.

The concept focused on:

  • Color: A bold mix of red, orange, and yellow to evoke warmth, energy, and nostalgia

  • Form: Clean, geometric shapes to create a strong, memorable mark

  • Tone: Retro-inspired but refined—avoiding kitsch in favor of modern simplicity
